Clara and Robert Schumann - one can see spiritual and artistic interdependence of their artistic achievements, visible in the similarity of themes of numerous piano pieces they composed. The mutual influence and inspiration were an unprecedented example of passion and love for each other and for music, to which they devoted their entire lives. Presented pieces are examples of mutual artistic inspiration of Clara and Robert themselves.

About the artist:

Agata Hołdyk – assistant of the Music Institute, Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa and teacher of the Wojciech Kilar United Music Schools in Katowice. Prizewinner in many national and international competitions (among others: in Zabrze, Poland 1997 - 1st place; Paris, France 1995 – 2nd place; Marsala, Italy 2005 – 5th place). A grant holder of the Minister’s of Culture and Art Artistic Grant (1998). She began her piano lessons at the age of 9 at the Stanisław Moniuszko Primary School of Music and at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary School of Music she graduated with honours in the piano class of mgr. Maria Wróbel-Zegalska. She is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice in the piano class of Professor Andrzej Jasiński. She graduated there a chamber music class of Professor Regina Strokosz-Michalak as well. She made a practical course at the University for Music and Art (Graz, Austria 2003). She finished postgraduate studies (2009) in piano class of professor Andrzdej Jasiński. In November 2013 she defended her doctoral dissertation (PhD) "Clara and Robert Schumann - the mutual creative inspiration based on selected piano pieces". In 2009 she formed the AHHA PIANO DUO together with Alexandra Hałat. The pianists are prizewinners in competitions: New York, USA 2011 – the second prize; Oslo, Norway 2010 - an award. Agata Hołdyk was also a member of Jury at International Piano Competition in Goerlitz (2012) and National Piano Duo Cmpetition in Jelenia Gora (2012). Continually she is playing concerts as a solo and chamber artist in Poland and abroad (Germany, Austria, France, Italy, the Czech Republic and Ukraine).
